Teri Lynne Baumgartner, MD, is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist (OB-GYN) who practices at UT Health East Texas Physicians in Athens. “I chose this field because I am a nurturer. I love helping patients and their families. I want to make a difference in my community and provide quality care.
“I enjoy taking care of women and OB-GYN allows me to do that. I have a passion for procedures and this field encompasses surgery, delivering babies, doing sonograms and in-office procedures. It is so rewarding to help make a difference in women’s lives. I feel blessed to be a part of bringing new life into the world.”

When not seeing patients, Dr. Baumgartner enjoys arts and crafts, gardening, reading mystery and suspense novels, scuba diving and hiking. She lives on a farm and enjoys taking care of her animals as well.
Dr. Baumgartner is employed as a clinical faculty physician at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler under the UT Tyler School of Medicine.

We absolutely LOVE Dr Baumgartner!!
She is the best OBGYN I have ever had and she really really cares and makes sure to answer every question or concerns you may have.
I wasn’t lucky enough to have her for my 1st pregnancy but I did with my 2nd pregnancy and now with my 3rd pregnancy and I wouldn’t have it any other way :)

I have to say I'm very please with this office and staff very welcoming and on top of everything...i just love doctor baumgartner she was very kind and knowledgeable and if i was to have another baby i would definitely use her again hands down no questions asked..she is a very busy lady and I see why she loves what she does..delivered my little girl and I'm extremely happy with her
