David DeWalch, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant who practices at the UT Health East Texas Orthopedic Institute. “Being a physician assistant is everything I’ve wanted in a career and more. Being able to participate in patient care at this level is very fulfilling because everyone I encounter essentially gives me the gift of their trust to guide them.”
To sum up his approach to patient care, DeWalch said, “I believe in treating everybody like I would want to be treated.”
He earned his bachelor’s degree in movement science from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. In addition, he earned his Master of Arts degree in advanced exercise physiology from New Mexico Highlands University in Las Vegas, New Mexico, and his Master of Science degree in physician assistant studies from South University in Savannah, Georgia.
