Dr. Alex Korniyenko joined Tyler CVC in 2015, after spending the early part of his career in the New York metropolitan area. Before attending medical school at Ross University, Dr. Korniyenko worked as a paramedic for the New York Fire Department, during which time he was a first responder to the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. Much of Dr. Korniyenko’s focus in his adopted East Texas home is educating patients to live heart-healthy lives. “A lot of people are unaware how sick they are and how bad their habits are,” he says. “That is where you start. You plant your seeds wisely and you get the fruit you want. Dietary modification and exercise makes a big difference.”

I needed to start seeing a cardiologist due to severe family history. I didn’t even know where to begin with having no symptoms myself…he guided me & told me I was doing exactly the right thing. Made me feel secure, as we all know these visits are scary! I’m thankful to be seeing Dr K. I sure hope all tests get flying colors & I don’t ‘need’ anything!!!! I feel wonderful that all things will be checked out accordingly & thoroughly!

Dr. K put my pacemaker in 4 weeks ago. I feel better than I have in years. He was very kind and funny and answered all my questions and talked to me after the procedure. I really recommend him. His nurse Courtney is wonderful too.

We thank God so much for "Dr. K".....He is absolutely AMAZING....Brilliant, Kind, Caring and Helpful....A great listener and truly blessed with all of the attributes of a wonderful doctor called into this profession!!! I must add that his nurses and office staff are wonderful too! So grateful for all of them!
