Sumita Thapa, MSN, FNP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner who sees adult patients at UT Health East Texas Physicians in Whitehouse. She offers general diagnoses and treatment for acute conditions, as well as chronic disease management and women's health and wellness.
“My personal care philosophy is engaging patients in their healthcare decision-making process and helping them achieve optimal health through education, wellness promotion and disease prevention,” Thapa said. “I believe that building trust and rapport is the foundation of all patient care, as it creates an environment that promotes excellent medical care, as well as learning.”
When not seeing patients, she enjoys cooking, jogging, traveling and spending quality time with her family.
She is fluent in English and Nepali.
