Shawna Sharp, APRN, FNP-C, is a nurse practitioner specializing in women’s health at UT Health East Texas Physicians in Henderson. She strives to provide holistic care to women of all ages. Sharp takes a patient-centered approach. “I want my patients to know that they are more than a diagnosis and help them achieve better overall wellness.”
Additionally, caring for the women of East Texas is her passion. “I believe the women in rural East Texas deserve increased access to quality healthcare,” Sharp said. “Being from the area myself, I can relate to these women, help them to achieve their healthcare goals and make a difference in my community.”
The circle of care approach Shawna emphasizes, ensures collaboration between patients, family members and other healthcare providers that may be needed for quality care.
Shawna brings 10 years of experience in labor and delivery, antepartum, prenatal, postpartum and newborn care.

I have looked for years for someone who knows how to deal with PCOS in east Texas and Louisiana and have never found anyone🙄....until now😁. I went in and Mrs. Sharp told me a plan and for the first time while using the tools she gave me, I am actually seeing results. She does her best to treat PCOS naturally with vitamins and So far I have lost 20 lbs 😁❤️and have started feeling better and all the bad symptoms that go with PCOS have lessened a lot. If you have PCOS, go to Mrs. Sharp. Do as she says, diet, exercise, etc. And you will see results. I could say so much more but then you would be reading a book but she has helped me so much and I will forever be greatful for what she has helped me accomplish. P.S. someone can only give you the tools, you have to put in the work but she is great at choosing what tools you need.😁❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Shawna is amazing. I had her as my Doctor for both of my pregnancies. Being her patient instantly made my pregnancy less stressful, she is a doctor that will actually listen and help you find a solution rather then the typical “oh that’s normal in pregnancy” response. Having Shawna as your doctor is having 100% commitment & support during your pregnancy. I highly recommend her!
