Pamela Ray, APRN, MSN, AG-ACNP, is an adult gerontology nurse practitioner. Ray’s philosophy of care is to make patients feel comfortable in her care. “I give 100% of myself to my patients every time I step into the hospital. Whether I am making clinical decisions or holding their hand as they wake up from surgery, I always want my patients to feel safe and cared for. I also enjoy educating patients and families about their disease process and treatments, so they are better prepared to manage them when they leave the hospital.”
Ray knew from a young age that she wanted to be in healthcare. “I remember dressing up as a Physical Therapist for career day in elementary school. Nursing was something I just fell into not knowing if I would like it or not. I have been in nursing for 10 years now and I can honestly say I love what I do.”
In her spare time, Ray enjoys reading a good book and watching her kids play softball and baseball.
