Muhammad Majeed, MD, is a gastroenterologist at the UT Health East Texas Digestive Disease Center in Tyler. Dr. Majeed is dedicated to delivering patient-centered care with empathy and compassion while fostering a collaborative environment. He is committed to advancing his professional growth as a teacher through evidence-based medicine. “I embarked on a journey in medicine driven by an unwavering passion to create a meaningful difference in the lives of others,” he said. “The prospect of relieving a patient’s suffering, offering solace, and fostering well-being for individuals and communities has always deeply resonated with me.”
Dr. Majeed sees patients 18 years and older, and has a special interest in general gastroenterology, inflammatory bowel disease management and challenging polypectomies. “I am drawn to the procedural nature of gastroenterology, as I have always found joy in hands-on work,” he said. “Additionally, I strongly advocate for proactive medicine, and I firmly believe that screening colonoscopies serve as a valuable tool in reducing mortality and morbidity within the general population.”
In his spare time, Dr. Majeed enjoys cycling, culinary exploration and connecting with his loved ones through social gatherings. In addition to English, Dr. Majeed is fluent in Hindi, Urdu and Punjabi.
Dr. Majeed is employed as a clinical faculty physician at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler under the UT Tyler School of Medicine.
