Mindy Menard, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician at UT Health East Texas Physicians Patriot Drive and at UT Health North Campus Tyler. “I couldn’t be happier to be at UT Health East Texas. It is like coming home.”
As a resident, she received the Outstanding Resident Award, the Academic Excellence Award, the Resident’s Resident Award and was the chief resident from 2008 to 2009. “I am a true academic at heart and I enjoy keeping up to date with medical literature and participating in the education and training of physicians.”
She also is dedicated to improving the health in her community. “We all want to be healthy. I am here to help people attain the best health they can. Whether people are struggling with an acute illness, a chronic disease or wish to adhere to a healthier lifestyle, I am hopeful I can guide treatment and healing. I also am excited to be part of the resident faculty at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler, so that I can mentor and invest in our future physician leaders.”
She earned her bachelor’s degree in biochemistry-molecular biology from the University of California at Santa Barbara and her doctor of medicine from the University of Colorado School of Medicine. She completed her family medicine residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler.
Dr. Menard’s personal interests include reading and spending time outside and enjoying nature with her husband, three children and two dogs.
Dr. Menard is employed as a clinical faculty physician at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler under the UT Tyler School of Medicine.
