Dr. Green’s care philosophy is inspired by Maya Angelou's quote: "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." She aims to provide compassionate care and understanding, especially when patients face hardships. Empathy is vital to their healing process.
Dr. Green chose medicine due to her family's strong healthcare background, growing up with an understanding of the importance of helping patients improve their quality of life. As an adult psychiatrist, she has a special interest in women's mental health and psychiatric emergency services.
Dr. Green evaluates, diagnoses and treats emotional disorders using psychopharmacology and behavioral interventions. “I chose the field of psychiatry in hopes of improving the emotional well-being of patients while overcoming the stigma of behavioral health disorders,” she said.
Dr. Green is employed as a clinical faculty physician at The University of Texas at Tyler Health Science Center under the UT Tyler School of Medicine.
