Halle Ross-Young, PsyD, is a psychologist at UT Health East Texas Behavioral Health at North Campus Tyler. She utilizes a scientistpractitioner model, which combines academic knowledge, clinical experience and a collaborative, person-centered approach in order to provide the most effective, individualized healthcare plan for each patient.
“I pursued a career in psychology because I am passionate about providing quality mental healthcare to under-resourced individuals and their families. I love the field of psychology because it is so broad and ever-evolving. I am constantly challenged to grow and develop professionally,” said Dr. Ross-Young. “I primarily work with adolescents and adults ages 13 through 65 with serious mental illnesses, substance use disorders, mood and anxiety disorders and trauma-related disorders. I care about providing excellent clinical services to individuals with diverse backgrounds and identities and with a particular emphasis on providing services to individuals who identify as members of the LGBTQIA+ community.”
