Friday 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Elizabeth Brown, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, is a family nurse practitioner who sees patients at UT Health East Texas Physicians in Carthage.
“I strive to provide holistic care to all of my patients so they can maintain their highest level of wellness.” She chose to focus on her specialty of family practice as it offers the most versatility, allowing her to see patients ages 18 and up.
“As a nurse, I have been driven to learn as much as I can from every department I can. This leads me to be well-rounded and knowledgeable in different areas,” she said. Family practice allows all this knowledge to come into practice as each day is different, and she can continue to learn new things.
She was inspired to entering nursing by her own experience as a patient. “When I was delivering my third baby, I had an amazing labor and delivery nurse. Neither she nor I knew it at the time, but she would later inspire me to pursue nursing. It has become my passion and I can’t imagine doing anything else. “
When not seeing patients, she enjoys spending time with her husband and five children. She also enjoys going to sporting events, finding new places to travel, reading (especially mystery novels) and spending time in nature.
