Abby Lovell, FNP-C, is a certified family nurse practitioner, who see patients by video visit only.
“It was my calling to become a nurse. As a critical care transport/flight nurse, I wanted to expand my nursing role, and my autonomy, so becoming a nurse practitioner was professionally a natural progression,” she said.
While Lovell focuses on all areas of nursing, she is particularly interested in emergency medicine, acute care and urgent care. “As a nurse practitioner, you draw strengths from other nursing experiences. Other than flight nursing, I have worked in the emergency room, critical care and with trauma surgery. I am dual certified in family and acute care.”
Lovell earned her associate’s degree in nursing from Trinity Valley Community College in Kaufman and her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from Texas Woman’s University in Dallas. In addition, she earned her post-master’s certificate as an adult-gerontology acute nurse practitioner from Texas Tech University in Lubbock.
