Board-certified orthopedic surgeon Kevin L. Fain, MD, FAAOS, enjoys providing his patients with life-enhancing treatments, such as joint replacement, arthroscopic surgery, sports medicine procedures and reconstruction for orthopedic trauma cases. “It’s very gratifying to see somebody who came into your office in a wheelchair come walking back in three months later after surgery.”
After being in private practice for 17 years, Dr. Fain became a UT Health East Texas physician, which gave him more time to do what he enjoys most. “It has freed me up to concentrate solely on the practice of medicine.”

I had surgery on my hip after a fall. He's Great! He listens to you. He also tells you how it is. Did I mention he's great? I feel better knowing he's going to help me recover.

Dr Fain has been one of the finest medical professionals I have met. He is straightforward, articulate, patient. My hip surgery was a breeze because he has the experience, knowledge and skill to mend broken bones. His office staff is friendly and helpful, wait time is nearly nonexistent, and I cannot recommend this surgeon and facility strongly enough. Relax and trust you’re in good hands.

Dr. Fain has performed surgery on both of my knees for torn meniscus and other issues. All of my appointments his staff got me ON TIME or before time, which is unusual now days. He listens, he offers opinions on care, then we decide together. I can get more out of a 15 minute visit with him than with my primary care doctor. Both knees feel great and I would recommend Dr. Fain. However, if you are looking for a doctor to wet nurse you and tip toe around the issues, he's not your guy. If you like straight-forward answers not tinged with fluff, go see him. Great guy.

I first came to Dr Fain’s office with a bad knee problem 2005, he didn’t say he wants to do surgery but he said you need it. He explained every detail to my wife & I in terms we understood. I did elect surgery with no problems or regrets . His personality & professionalism is far above some doctors. I highly recommend Dr Kevin Fain.
